Howard B. Richman is a pianist, composer, teacher, author and empowerment coach. One of his specialties is to offer unique solutions to the problems that have plagued you for years, that you thought no one would ever understand! Since 1975, he has taught thousands of students and many come to him for his unconventional wisdom and his ability to find the root cause of stubborn blocks. He provides creative methods to break through these blocks and to reach your goals.
One of the things that makes Howard unique is that he is able to balance the physical with the metaphysical. Sometimes the solution to a problem may be more on the practical side and sometimes it may be more on the spiritual. Being able to offer a variety of specific tools helps each client dig in and appropriately handle the situation. This explains why Howard has such a great success record. The methods he uses are never “one-size-fits-all!”
Since 1982 he has pioneered a transformational approach to music relaxation which sensitized him to the connection between to the mind and the body. This led him to his work with music education, music medicine, weight loss techniques and stutter control techniques. Mr. Richman’s formal training is in music. He has a B.A. degree in piano performance from UCLA and an M.F.A. (Master Fine Arts) degree from California Institute of the Arts, where he also taught on the faculty for three years. Mr. Richman has also developed a rehabilitation program for pianists with pain or injuries. He studied the biomechanics of playing to maximize efficiency and relaxation and is often sought as a consultant for other teachers and doctors dealing with musicians’ hand injuries.
This expertise inspired him to apply the same successful principles to typing when he wrote his highly-acclaimed booklet, Pain-Free Typing Technique.
